Σας προσκαλούμε να βιώσετε τη μαγεία του kirtan και της Bhakti Yoga με έναν από τους σημαντικότερους εκφραστές τους.

Θα γιορτάσουμε το Θείο στην θηλυκή του έκφραση σύμφωνα με την παράδοση της Ινδίας Επίσης θα μοιραστούμε μια ενδιαφέρουσα παραδοσιακή ιστορία της Ινδίας μεταξύ των kirtans.

ΓΙΑ ΤO CHANTING

Όταν ψέλνουμε εμβαθύνουμε στον Εαυτό, στην Παρουσία, στο τώρα, στην επίγνωση.

Αφήνουμε τον εαυτό μας να ρέει στα κύματα και τις δονήσεις των mantrasκαι πηγαίνουμε όλο και βαθύτερα.

Όταν ψέλνουμε, τα συναισθήματά μας, η κατάσταση της ύπαρξής μας αλλάζουν και οι σκέψεις ηρεμούν.

Βιώνουμε τα gunas, τις τρεις καταστάσεις, tamas, rajas, και τελικά ξεκουραζόμαστε στη sattva guna, μια όμορφη φωτεινή κατάσταση ύπαρξης.

ΓΙΑ ΤΟΝ JAVA DEVA

Ο Jaya Deva βυθίστηκε στην παράδοση της Bhakti από την γέννηση του. Μυήθηκε από παιδί στο chanting στα ashram και στην παράδοση της Siddha Yoga.

Αργότερα, άρχισε να παίζει αρμόνιο στη Sangha του Swami Satyananda Saraswati.

Το 2010 συναντήστε τον Krishna Das και η ζωή του αλλάζει με ριζικό τρόπο, άφησε το μονοπάτι της Jnana yoga και επικεντρώθηκε μόνο στην Bhakti Yoga και στην ψαλμωδία. Μαθαίνει το Hanuman Chalisa με τον Krishna Das και εμβαθύνει την πρακτική του αρμονίου στην παράδοση του Krishna Das.

Το 2014 μετά από ένα ταξίδι 6 μηνών στην Ινδία, παίρνει το όνομα Jaya Deva, ενώ βρίσκεται στο Kainchi Ashram του Neem Karoli Baba.

Από το 2014 οδηγεί τα μηνιαία kirtans στη Βαρκελώνη.  Οι ψαλμωδίες είναι κυρίως αφιερωμένες στους Shiva, Hanuman, Kali και Durga.

Έχει παίξει σε διάφορες ευρωπαϊκές πόλεις όπως το Ελσίνκι, η Κοπεγχάγη, το Μάλμε, η Στοκχόλμη και το Λονδίνο και επίσης σε μερικά τοπικά Φεστιβάλ.

Έχει παίξει σε διαφορετικούς ναούς και ashram στην Ινδία, στη Βομβάη, στο Ganeshpuri, στο Rishikesh, στο Varanasi, στο Tiruvannamalai και επίσης στο Μπαλί, τη Σιγκαπούρη και το Ντουμπάι.

Το ύφος του kirtan είναι κλασικό με δομή ερώτησης απάντησης, επηρεασμένο πολύ από τα Kirtans του Krishna Das στη φωνή και στις μελωδία. Τα kirtan του τείνουν να είναι εκστατικά και η εμπειρία είναι διαλογιστική ως yoga sadhana

ΤΑ ΤΕΛΕΥΤΑΙΑ 3 ΧΡΟΝΙΑ

Κατά τη διάρκεια της πανδημίας, ο Jaya Deva άρχισε να παίζει διαδικτυακά σε καθημερινή βάση, για να συνεχίσει την πρακτική και να προσεγγίσει άτομα που ήταν κλεισμένα στο σπίτι ή είχαν ανάγκη από sangha και σύνδεση.

Εκείνο το διάστημα προσκλήθηκε να παίξει στο Holly Name Festival και αυτό ήταν το πρώτο από τα πολλά διαδικτυακά φεστιβάλ που έπαιξε.

Μέσω του φεστιβάλ One Mantra, οργάνωσε μια μηνιαία διεθνή διαδικτυακή εκδήλωση, στην οποία συμμετείχαν πολλοί ερμηνευτές Kirtan, όπως ο Krishna Das, ο Gaura Vani, ο Kevin James, οι Satyaa & Pari κ.α.

Οι 3 τελευταίες εκδηλώσεις έγιναν με έρανο. Η πρώτη για το Ταμείο Αρωγής του Θιβέτ όπου συγκεντρώθηκαν πάνω από 6000€. Η δεύτερη για το Νεπάλ με το Gayatri Fundation όπου συγκεντρώθηκαν περίπου 2000 € και η τρίτη για την Ινδία όπου συγκεντρώθηκαν πάνω από 3000 € για διαφορετικά έργα Go Fund.

Το 2022, όταν ο Krishna Das έκανε την Ευρωπαϊκή περιοδεία, ο Java Deva περιόδευσε με εκείνον και έπαιξε στις πόλης της περιοδείας του (Βιέννη, Λονδίνο, Άμστερνταμ). Ξεκίνησε έτσι να παίζει έτσι συχνότερα στην Ευρώπη.

Τώρα μόλις ήρθε από την Ινδία όπου έπαιξε γύρω από τα Kirtans του Krishna Das στο Tiruvannamalai, το Auroville και το Rishikesh.

ABOUT CHANTING
When we chant we go deeper into ourselves, to our presence, to the now, to the awareness.

We let ourselves to flow in the waves and vibrations of the mantras, and we go deeper and deeper.

When we chant, our feeling, our state of being changes, and thoughts and tendencies calm down.

And we experience the gunas, the three states, tamas, rajas, and finally we settle in sattva guna, a beautiful luminous state of being.

ABOUT JAYA DEVA
Jaya Deva has been immersed in the Bhakti tradition since born, he was initiated into chanting in ashrams and in the Siddha Yoga tradition since child.

Later on, he started playing harmonium in the Sangha of Swami Satyananda Saraswati.

In 2010 meet Krishna Das and his life changes in a radical way, left aside the path of Jnana Yoga and focused only in Bhakti Yoga and chanting. He learns the Hanuman Chalisa with Krishna Das and deeps the practice of harmonium in the tradition of Krishna Das.

In 2014 after a 6 months travel to India, finally takes the name of Jaya Deva while he is in Kainchi Ashram of Neem Karoli Baba.

From 2014 leads monthly kirtans in Barcelona, he chants to the main Hindu deities or devatas, with special focus to Shiva, Hanuman, Kali and Durga.

Also he has played in different European cities like Helsinki, Copenhagen, Malmö, Stockholm, and London and also in some local Festivals.

He has played in different temples and ashrams in India, in Bombay, Ganeshpuri, Rishikesh, Varanasi, Tiruvannamalai and as well in Bali, Singapore and Dubai.

His kirtan style is a classic chant and response kirtan, very influenced by Krishna Das kirtans in voice and melodies, his kirtans tend to be ecstatic and the experience is meditative and a yogic sadhana

LAST 3 YEARS
During the pandemic Jaya Deva started playing Online in a daily basis, to continue the practice and to reach people who was locked in their homes or in need of sangha and connection.

During that time he was invited to play in the Holly Name Festival, and that was the first of many online events he played.

Through the One Mantra festival, organized a monthly international online event, where many kirtan wallahs joined, like Krishna Das, Gaura Vani, Kevin James, Satyaa & Pari just to mention a few.

Also the last 3 events where Fundraisers, the first one was for Tibet with the Tibet Relief Fund, and we raised over 6000€. The second one was for Nepal with the Gayatri Fundation where we raised about 2000€ and the third one was for India where we raised over 3000€ for different Go Fund Projects.

In 2022 when Krishna Das came to Tour Europe he toured around him and played myself in those cities, Vienna, London and Amsterdam and started a new period of playing in Europe more frequently.

Now in 2023 he just came from India and also revolving around the two Kirtans of Krishna Das in India in February 2023, playing quite a few kirtans in Tiruvannamalai, Auroville and Rishikesh.
